We are actively recruiting an Analytical Chemist to join our team in Richmond, VA.

What you'll be doing:
Perform product and material analysis in a laboratory setting on a wide range of sample types using multiple techniques and instrumentation
Maintain and manage the appropriate documentation for Analytical Sciences to be compliant with Quality Systems and Records Management policies
Provide support to category leaders, senior scientists, product developers and factory personnel to achieve department and company initiatives
Develop solutions to complex technical problems where few precedents exist
Participate in scientific meetings both internal and external to maintain and expand scientific expertise
Participate on cross-functional teams representing Analytical Sciences

What we want you to have:
Bachelor of Science degree in Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field
1-3 years of experience working in an analytical chemistry laboratory, experience working with Tobacco and tobacco products is a plus
Familiarity with techniques such as GCMS, FTIR, NIR, Raman. Experience with Chemstation/MassHunter and Omnic. A general knowledge of physical / thermal / moisture characterization approaches is a plus.
Experience working in a regulated industry and familiarity with Quality Systems such as ISO 17025, or ISO 9001 desired
Proficiency in laboratory skills, and operating / maintaining analytical testing equipment
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, multi-task, and be a great teammate
Excellent attention to detail, verbal, and written communication skills
