The Associate Director, Computer Systems Validation Lead Americas ensures that project teams in the US apply world class standards and practices for PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and DCS (Distributed Control System) qualification. In this role you will develop robust CSV approaches/procedures and deploy, train and support CSV colleagues working on the various Strategic Growth Initiatives and Engineering( SGIE) projects at multiple sites to ensure global consistency and implementation. This is the pinnacle role for a seasoned CSV professional with large project ($100M project value) expertise. The ideal person for this position will have Emerson Delta V experience and demonstrated leadership skills managing cross-functional teams in a matrix environment. This position will be tied to one of our East Coast locations:

Portsmouth NH, Tampa FL, Walkersville MD, Houston TX, or Lexington MA.

Key responsibilities:

Provide leadership of CSV activities for US-based facilities, acting as SME on Lonza CQV/CSV standards
Establish tech packages for standard applications to allow off the shelf implementation
Secures optimal flow of technical information within Strategic Growth Initiatives and Engineering (SGIE) and with relevant stakeholders and project teams
Successful partnering with CAPEX project teams during concept, design, start-up and qualification
Seeks and provides continuously innovative solutions for CSV methods
Assess existing CSV methods and SOPs relative to health authority expectations

Key requirements:

Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred; (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Technology or related discipline)
10+ years in CSV, CQV (Commissioning-Qualification-Validation), Automation Engineering or Project Management in the health authority regulated industry
DCS Systems experience (distributed control system), in particular Emerson Delta V or similar system experience
Advanced integrated testing strategy experience
Excellent knowledge of current and proposed future methods in the field of CSV and Industrial Automation
Vast knowledge of cGMP regulatory requirements
Willing and able to travel often (50% travel)
Team player with exceptional communication and customer service skills, integrity and ability to interact with all levels of personnel
