Role and Responsibilities


Samsung Electronics America is seeking a qualified CRM Post Purchase Experience and Automation Manager cross category post purchase CRM campaigns at Samsung Electronics America (SEA). This includes leveraging multiple data sources to build a seamless post purchase experience for the customer while increase overall customer CLV. Ideal candidate will have experience working with highly matrixed/ cross functional organizations, has a good understanding of digital marketing and has experience working with email marketing campaigns. building audiences, working with agencies to create test plans and email creatives, working with email designers, building automation pipelines segmentation, setting up KPIs and A/B testing plans to help business achieve those KPIs. This role sits at the intersection for business, data engineering, data science and analytics teams and helps the entire organization leverage the power of big data.


Big Data, CRM Products and Revenue team sit in Corporate Marketing organization at SEA that owns entire Samsung USA customer data and drives cross functional data strategy and CRM activities at SEA. The teams core focus is developing best-in-class big data solutions that provide Samsungs marketing and service organizations with a 360 degree view of SEA customers.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with data scientists and data engineers to build customer segments post purchase.

  • Work with a team of agencies, email designers and commodity managers to identify the right moments and offers to engage with the customer

  • Define relevant KPIs to monitor the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. Set channel specific engagement and revenue targets and ensure that business tracks to the goals. Use data to identify underlying trends and propose changes to marketing plan.

  • Own A/B testing framework to understand best solutions for business and customers across different stages of a user journey.

  • Continuously build and improve audience selection based on behavioral and contextual signals to support different marketing strategies for all lines of businesses a SEA.

  • Collaborate with business, Data Science and Engineering teams to create cutting edge AI driven models, that improve audience segmentation and personalization

  • Be the single point of contact from the team to support Post Purchase experiences for all Samsung products.

  • Work across SEA business, care, retail, paid media to pilot customer data projects and expand channels for post purchase CRM


Skills and Qualifications


  • Bachelors Degree in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Engineering, Operations Research, Statistics) required.

  • 6 + years of relevant experience

  • 4+ years of experience in marketing, operations or related field in a quantitative/analytics role

  • 4 + years of experience in analytics and hypothesis testing and reporting to leadership

  • 4+ years of experience building data visualizations using tools like Tableau and excel

  • 2+ years of experience designing A/B tests to drive data-driven decision making in fast-paced environments

  • 3+ years of experience in managing CRM campaigns

  • Strong SQL writing skills to analyze data in bigdata and other databases, Hadoop, Postgres, Elasticsearch

  • Hands on experience with Data Engineering tools including Hive, Impala

  • Experience of working with Data Scientists to build data science and machine learning models and designing data pipelines to productionize these models

  • Direct experience developing customer data in e-commerce, technology, mobile or consumer electronics industries required

  • Solid understanding of digital marketing fundamentals

  • Succinct, proactive communication- translate data analytics into business solutions

  • Proven experience in managing multiple tasks simultaneously with a rigid determination to meet deadlines
