The "Automotive Vehicles Platform team" is searching for Senior Platform Engineer to develop and bring NVIDIA's autonomous vehicle platform out to the world. You will participate in a focused effort to develop and productize ground-breaking solutions that will revolutionize the world of transportation and the growing field of self-driving cars. You will work with hardworking and dedicated multi-functional engineering development teams across various vehicle subsystems to integrate their work into our autonomous driving DRIVE SW platform, while achieving or exceeding all relevant NVIDIA and automotive standards & guidelines. You'll find the work is exciting, fun, and very meaningful. We have deadlines, customers, and competition.
What you'll be doing:
Design and Implement infrastructure to enable low latency development on Tegra based Autonomous Vehicle Simulation & Car platforms.
Contribute to platform software development, tools, filesystem customization and software integration in different OS environments for autonomous vehicles.
Develop creative continuous software integration methods to streamline embedded development internal to Nvidia and across Nvidia Drive Autonomous vehicle solution partners.
Work proactively with other engineering teams such as system architects, software/firmware engineers, HW/SW QA teams and application engineering teams to drive cross team dependency and schedule alignment, coordinate bring up progress and debug to meet production release timelines.
Regularly engage with customer teams directly to productize workflows for platform integration
Work closely with other software engineers within the organization to identify and implement, build & packaging infrastructure requirements, automated tests to accelerate development for Autonomous Vehicles
Contribute to best-practices for building, testing, and releasing software.
Work towards enabling the best user experience by analyzing complex technical issues and independently drive resolution across multiple teams
Work in an environment which involves Hypervisor, Linux, QNX RTOS.
What we need to see:
BS, MS in CS/CE/EE (or equivalent experience) with 5+ years in a related field
Strong software development skills in python.
Proven experience in embedded systems, SW/HW cross domain knowledge.
Experience in software architecture design
Strong debugging skills from application to kernel level
Exposure to cloud services, jenkins, and Docker working with continuous integration & continuous deployment systems.
Ability and flexibility to work and communicate effectively in a multinational, multi-time-zone corporate environment
Self-motivated, organized and proactive
Embedded system, SW/HW cross domain knowledge
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple cross functional teams
Prior experience in Automotive field
Prior background in Bazel build system
Prior experience with linux & QNX filesystem , QNX RTOS is a major plus.
Prior experience in automotive ECU software integration
The Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act requires that NVIDIA provide the compensation range and benefits offered for this position if performed in Colorado. The base salary range for this position in Colorado is $162,000.00 - 222,750.00 USD.
