The Role

Genmab is seeking a highly motivated research scientist to join the Translational Science & Clinical Biomarker laboratories in Princeton, NJ. The candidate will provide clinical exploratory and preclinical assay support and development for our translational teams to advance the early stage preclinical and late stage clinical pipeline.

Responsibilities:

Candidate must have in-depth scientific expertise in immuno-oncology/oncology with a focus on high dimensional flow cytometry.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Executing and troubleshooting complex, multiparametric immune-phenotyping flow cytometric panels in support of our clinical exploratory immune-phenotyping team

  • Cytokine profiling using Luminex, MSD and ELISA platforms

  • Developing and running primary immune cell assays such as mixed lymphocyte reaction

  • Work independently and contribute both intellectually and technically to projects

  • Analyze data, using software including FlowJo, OMIQ, Spotfire, GraphPad Prism and Excel

  • Utilize a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for GxP clinical sample handling

  • Contribute to publications/posters and present results at internal meetings & lab meetings

  • Collaborate closely with scientists from Translational Research, Precision Medicine, Pathology, Data Sciences and Biomarker Operations when required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a Masters or other graduate degree in the biological, biomedical and life sciences with a focus on oncology/immuno-oncology.

  • A minimum of 5+ years of pharma or academic flow cytometry experience

  • Experience with primary tumor-immune cells and/or clinical trial samples preferred

  • Competency, and ability to work with primary cells such as PBMCs

  • Expertise developing primary immune cell assays

  • Experience running cytokine profiling assays a plus

  • Proficiency with FACSDIVA (Becton Dickinson) flow cytometry acquisition software, FlowJo or OMIQ.

  • High level of motivation and ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
