**Job Summary:**
Disney Streaming seeks an enthusiastic product manager for the media supply chain which powers event-based live sports, entertainment and linear channel content for Hulu, Disney+, Star+ and ESPN+. This role exists within the Supply Chain and Content domain of the Media Product team. Supply Chain and Content exists to deliver reliable and scalable services, workflows, and operational tools for VOD and Live media pipelines, content management, and catalog syndication.
In this role, you will be responsible for platform features that support the acquisition, validation, QC, management, and publishing of live content. You will work closely with stakeholders in Operations, Engineering, Program, and Product to design and implement features that support business, technical, and operational priorities. The remit of this role spans the media pipelines and the operational tools necessary to manage the workflow.
Specifically, you will identify and prioritize opportunities based on your acute awareness of live content programming to help achieve the goal of scaling live products globally and through a unified platform. You will implement enhancements to increase efficiency through automation such as wider application of SCTE-35, business logic informed by content metadata, signal health monitoring, feed switching, and metadata-driven/context-specific slating. Furthermore, you will ensure proper capabilities to test and simulate live media in support of launching new features and content-driven initiatives.

**Responsibilities:**
+ Work with stakeholders in operations, engineering, and product management to establish and identify product opportunities or enhancements to live media supply chain.
+ Own Disney Streamings live media delivery specification.
+ Deliver new and innovative capabilities within our toolsets for live content management.
+ Represent platform capabilities to help enable new content launches and onboarding.
+ Empower our internal operators and external partners with best-in-class dashboards and reporting functionality.
+ Partner with Product Managers in the media processing team on end-to-end pipeline initiatives.
+ Evaluate metrics for viewership and content programming to inform investment in product features.
+ Ensure our tools adhere to regulatory requirements during the design phase and remediate where necessary.
+ Collaborate with design and engineering teams to translate product requirements into actionable stories using an Agile product development process.
+ Take a data driven approach to constantly improve our media pipeline - devise instrumentation and reporting frameworks and processes to communicate status to stakeholders.
+ Maintain strategic insight into the latest industry trends and working groups for content management tools and interfaces.
+ Police feature creep and make data-driven trade-offs.
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ You have a minimum of (3) years of experience in product management, operations, or program management within video streaming or related industries.
+ You have working knowledge of end to end live media signal flow from acquisition to publishing.
+ You have a user-first mentality and strong opinions about good customer experience keeping in mind that our primary users are internal operators.
+ You have demonstrated the ability to use data to drive decisions and back up assumptions and recommendations.
+ You have demonstrated success executing product efforts aligned with business requirements and technology capabilities in global businesses.
+ You have excellent written and oral communication skills.
+ Youre scrappy and resourceful, with no fear of getting your hands dirty and an impulse to be the first to tackle any challenge.
+ Youve demonstrated the ability to work with engineering teams to discuss technical concepts, make tradeoffs to remove roadblocks, and evaluate new ideas.
+ You are able to define end-user features while understanding how they interact with our core system capabilities
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Understanding of media supply chain frameworks and standards (SCTE-35, MDDF, CableLabs, SCTE-224).
+ Experience with media operations and programming for live events and linear channel based content.
+ Video encoding and packaging product management or hands-on experience working within an operations team.

+ BA/BS from an accredited university or equivalent practical experience
