We have an opening for a **FPGA/SDR/DSP Engineer** to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in the Tactical Space organization. This position will be located in **Monterey, CA** or can be supported remotely from **Dulles, VA** .

Tactical Space Systems Division is experiencing an increase in FPGA development in the areas of software defined radio (SDR) and digital signal processing (DSP). An FPGA/SDR/DSP engineer designs and programs FPGAs to perform various applications (i.e. modems) on various programs.

This key position requires 5+ years of experience in DSP hardware and software design and development. As FPGA/SDR/DSP engineer you will perform specification, design, simulation, and coding of SDR and DSP algorithms.

In particular you will be involved in:

+ Developing A-PSK and QAM modulators and demodulators, including carrier recovery
+ Developing signal acquisition algorithms for OFDM and CDMA schemes
+ Developing digital down-conversion and frequency domain matched filter detectors
+ Implementing DSP and SDR algorithms on FPGAs using MATLAB, HDL Coder, Vivado, and Quartus toolchains

**Basic Qualifications:**

_This position can be filled at the Principal or Sr. Principal level._

**_Principal Engineer_**

+ U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain a TS/SCI level clearance
+ Strong FPGA experience and experience with FPGA design synthesis tools (Vivado, Quartus)
+ Bachelors in a STEM degree (ideally Electrical Engineering with academic exposure to digital communications and digital signal processing)
+ 5 years of related experience (or 3 years with Masters or Ph.D)
+ Experience with MATLAB/HDL Coder
+ Solid understanding of digital communications and signal processing concepts and theory

**_Sr. Principal Engineer_**

+ U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain a TS/SCI level clearance
+ Strong FPGA experience and experience with FPGA design synthesis tools (Vivado, Quartus)
+ Bachelors in a STEM degree (ideally Electrical Engineering with academic exposure to digital communications and digital signal processing)
+ 14 years of related experience (or 12 years with Masters or 9 years with Ph.D)
+ Experience with MATLAB/HDL Coder
+ Solid understanding of digital communications and signal processing concepts and theory

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ B.Sc.E.E. or Ph.D.E.E.
+ Experience with MATLAB Simulink
+ Experience with using RF test and measurement equipment
+ Experience with digital modulation/demodulation schemes
+ VHDL or Verilog coding experience

Salary Range: $156,000.00 - $234,000.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
