The Shift Supervisor coordinates all of the minute to minute operations of the PJM Control Rooms. The Shift Supervisor provides direct leadership for the shift team which includes a minimum of 7 System Operators and is the primary interface to all support staff. The Shift Supervisor performs the duties of the NERC Reliability Coordinator, as defined in the NERC functional model, for the PJM Control Area. Additionally, the Shift Supervisor has the responsibility and the authority to take direct and timely real-time actions (without obtaining higher level approval) including directing shedding of firm load to prevent or alleviate System Operating Limit or Interconnected Reliability Operating Limit Violations.
Maintain power system reliability by ensuring operations are in compliance with applicable NERC standards and PJM operating and emergency procedures.
Responsible for PJMs reliable and efficient system operations by coordinating the real-time operation of the bulk power electrical system and markets.

High School degree, BS degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience
2+ years of leadership experience in a managerial/supervisory role. Can also have leadership in leading a team or project.
