Balance Sheet and Capital Management is a team within TTS Trade and Working Capital Solutions responsible for ensuring an effective and efficient use of Trades balance sheet with the goal of improving return on capital measures for TTS. Key benefits include development of specialized capital knowledge, experience developing and executing complex analytical processes, exposure to senior leadership and multiple products across TTS, and working in a rewarding, creative, and dynamic environment.
This is a critical role supporting TTS Trade and Working Capital Solutions capital and balance sheet strategy through managing the overall portfolio through structured credit solutions, including credit default swap purchases, synthetic securitizations, and various other structured credit tools. The Capital Mitigation team will likely work closely with Financial Resources Management, Trading, Structuring, Banking, and Risk.
Key responsibilities:
The key areas of responsibility of the role are:
+ Deliver in-business support on capital management and efficiency across TTS Trade and Working Capital Solutions
+ Establish additional levers for portfolio management of TTS Trade and Working Capital Solutions, including credit default swap purchases, synthetic securitizations, guarantees, and other structured credit tools
+ On-going support of structured credit solutions, once implemented, including:
+ Governance and due diligence ensuring capital rules are met
+ Hands on involvement in established programs including replenishments, maintenance, and structuring
+ Calculation and reporting Risk and Regulatory Capital benefits
Key Competencies:
+ Knowledge of Credit Markets and credit hedging tools, including secondary loan market, credit derivatives, CLOs, and securitizations
+ Knowledge of US regulatory capital rules and allocation methodologies
+ Acumen & Communication: ability to understand complex ideas and identify/communicate/advocate for solutions at both strategic and granular levels, conversant at the theoretical level while also understanding and leading pragmatic data-driven solutions
+ Demonstrated Partnership and Collaboration Skills: ability to partner well with a range of stakeholders in the firm to drive objectives to delivery, strong interpersonal skills to identify and resolve conflict to mitigate roadblocks, charismatic communicator to influence without authority
+ Ability to connect business strategy with capital usage: align and connect strategy and product development to capital consumption, promote capital-friendly design, understand the complex end-to-end data process for capital calculation in order to effect change
Qualification:
+ Bachelors degree
+ 10+ years relevant experience in the Credit markets
+ Proven track record executing successful capital mitigation transactions across a variety of formats, including insurance and derivative contracts, repackaging and fund formats
+ Proven analytical skills for developing data analysis and quantitative strategies
+ Strong risk management and data quality discipline
+ Exposure to regulatory capital requirements at a regulator, consultancy or large financial institution
+ Excellent interpersonal, influencing, facilitation, and partnering skills with key stakeholders and senior management
+ Ability to coordinate processes and work as part of multiple teams across a firm
+ Experience in working with and ability to lead direct and indirect reports or teams
+ Ability to work under pressure in a highly professional environment
