Reporting to the Head of UX Design, your role will be as a contributor, using your talents in both UX design and UI development, to work on high-priority and flagship projects, building interactive protypes and proof-of-concept deliveries.
Additionally, you will have the opportunity to design and develop data visualizations, UI components, micro-interactions, animations, and other UI elements that will help Citi to build intuitive and delightful products.
As a UX engineer, you will use your experience and skills to lead by example coaching and mentoring junior members of the team and ensuring their work is of the highest standard based on solid foundations of research, thoughtfully designed, and using best practices and organisational design standards.
The UX engineering team will be small and agile, with plenty of variety and diversity in projects you will be adept at balancing strategic and tactical priorities, managing assignments, mitigating risks, and ensuring the smooth and predictable running of all work.
This role would be ideal for an experienced full-stack HTML5 developer with a strong interest or ability in UX who wants to apply their talents to help rapidly drive development of our flagship products and initiatives.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Manage and rapidly develop functional prototypes, POCs, user flows, design assets, hi-fidelity mock-ups and lightweight design specifications
+ Work with product and UX research teams to help explore new opportunities
+ Participate in workshops and co-creation session on ideation and concept development
+ Design and build data visualizations, micro-interactions, animations and transitions
+ Design user experiences that are intuitive and elegant, in-line with current trends and concepts, and aligned to our design system and standards, as well as wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mock-ups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces
+ Provide development teams with high quality assets, handover and ongoing guidance to ensure they have all they need to implement designs
+ Coach, mentor and develop junior designers within the team
**Required Skills, Experience and Competencies**
+ 6+ years of full-stack HTML5 development, using latest technologies and libraries
+ Strong aptitude for UX Design, ideally having worked in a UX role
+ Creative flair, excellent attention to detail, a good eye for design
+ Strong communication and presentation skills
+ Innovative ideas and can-do attitude
+ Strong skills in a professional UX design tool e.g. Figma, Sketch, Invision, AdobeXD
+ Ability to portray ideas and concepts, quickly and clearly, via paper-based sketching.
