As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will work in a high-tech, agile, challenging, and fun work environment. You will be challenged daily on exciting large-scale projects with all the latest technologies. Day-to-day work follows an agile scrum team approach to developing leading edge cloud-based software. Here, you will make an impact by:
Protecting our environments by ensuring they are following 3M security best practices
Improving the deployment and reliability of our infrastructure and applications
Optimizing resource utilization to capture savings and reduce waste
Implementing configuration changes for infrastructure, applications, tenants, and users
Participating in an on-call rotation and after-hours deployments
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
OR
High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) and fourteen (14) years of experience in the Server Administration field
Seven (7) years of experience in software engineering and/or software development
Three (3) years of experience implementing and optimizing Kubernetes for large-scale hosted applications
Experience with Linux operating system and command line
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include experience with:
Cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Containerization & Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, Amazon EKS Anywhere)
Infrastructure as code (CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible)
Large-Scale Messaging & Data (Kafka, Cassandra, ElasticSearch)
Scripting languages (bash, python, go)
Experience deploying to GovCloud
Travel: Occasional travel may be required
Relocation Assistance: May be authorized
Location: Remote USA
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
