KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director, Azure Data Architect to join our Global Technology team which is part of the KPMG International organization.


Responsibilities:


+ Create the data and analytic capability on One Platform, to enable developing and future proof new business demand

+ Develop KPMG's cloud data and analytic strategy

+ Define data standards, data governance and compliance requirements

+ Generate cloud adoption plans, cloud application design, including data management monitoring and big data developments

+ Design and maintain required architecture and design documentation

+ Oversee the application architecture and deployment in a multi-cloud environment


Qualifications:


+ Minimum ten years of recent experience in Database management, Data Analytics and Data warehousing, including cloud-native database and modern data warehouse

+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience

+ In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft data platform (Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Databricks among others)

+ Advanced knowledge of data architecture, standards and data governance in relational and nonrelational databases

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document and communicate technical information to IT Leadership, the business, developers and support staff

+ Strong experience as primary technical leader, on successful large application deployments with the ability to manage resources and multiple projects simultaneously
