Job Summary:
The Category Management Analyst role will interface directly with the Sales Organization supporting the team with ad-hoc analysis and insights, POS reporting, category & plan-o-gram reviews, and data tools. This role requires the ability to develop actionable insights and recommendations from multiple data sources and deliver them in a clear and concise manner to the organization. It will also interact with Marketing, Innovation, and other cross-functional teams, and present directly to retailers to drive Blue Diamond's sales.
Job Description:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Analyzes POS data from IRI and Retailer portals for ad-hoc and reoccurring reporting needs.
Reviews IRI Panel & Retailer loyalty card data reporting and provides analysis identifying insights and opportunities across Blue Diamond's categories.
Assesses current trends and opportunities to drive sales through actionable insights.
Provides reporting needs across multiple departments within the organization and external customers/partners/retailers.
Builds presentations recapping data and insights from sales and shopper IRI data.
Tracks key initiatives on distribution and merchandising across retailers and the impact of changes for brands and categories.
Develops and maintains Gold Standard POGs and SKU priority rankers.
Replicates standard new items and key initiative support presentations for top broker retailers.
Supports key National and Regional retailers with category reviews, POG analysis, and new item sell-in

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree, or 3+ years of data insights or analytics reporting experience
Background in Sales or Category Management
Data analytic skills and capabilities
Knowledge of merchandising and sales process with Retailers; preferred
15% travel requirement
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
Direct CPG experience in Category Management or Category Management Association Certification.
Syndicated sales and panel data software & metrics experience is preferred (i.e. IRi or Nielsen).
POG software experience & Category review experience (JDA Space Planning, ProSpace, Apollo).
Retailer-specific POS and Loyalty Card data systems experience (84.51, Retail Link, Market6, POL).
Good communicator with the ability to develop remote relationships with team members.
High level of comfort and speed utilizing Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office tools.
