Position Description:
Position Purpose:

This position offers an exciting opportunity as a Cybersecurity Sr. Engineer within the Data Protection – Data Loss Prevention team.  To be successful, you will need self-starting abilities to conduct agent troubleshooting, policy and rule troubleshooting, endpoint performance, configuration changes, and policy tuning. You will be a key contributor to the optimization of advanced Data Protection security controls across a large enterprise.  To succeed you will need the ability to work with various cross-functional teams both within and outside of Cyber-Security.  You will also drive the continual improvement of the resiliency and function of current DLP capabilities.  On a typical day, you can expect to assist with major and minor deployments, provide investigation support, drive the improvement of DLP processes and procedures through automation and streamlining, develop performance monitoring capabilities, conduct analysis of data protection findings, provide remediation support, be a team player, bring fresh ideas and more.

  • Develop automated monitoring and reporting for endpoint agents

  • Assist with testing and rolling out infrastructure related improvements to central management, endpoint, and email infrastructure

  • Partner with staff engineers on major deployments and initiatives

  • Assist and train junior engineers on endpoint and DLP techniques

  • Create new DLP policies from both a business and threat perspective

  • Develop and lead pilots of new features prior to full deployments

  • Provide guidance to engineers on escalation of incidents to the SOC/Business area’s

  • Experience with Enterprise Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tools such as Forcepoint, McAfee, or Symantec is required

  • Endpoint (Windows & Mac OSX) & Server (Windows) experience is heavily preferred

  • Scripting experience is preferred 

  • Cloud Experience (Azure) is preferred but not requiredProtecting what matters most to our associates and consumers by securing our sensitive data and critical assets from current and emerging threats.     Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:
    100% - Deliver Execution, Plans & Align, Problem Solving - Design automation workflows and capabilities in support of data collection, investigation and incident response Develop threat hunting and data analysis strategy and capabilities Identify and propose new technologies, methodologies and/or approaches to detecting malicious activity Utilize indicators to scope and respond proactively to emerging threats Design, build, configure, maintain and monitor cybersecurity threat defense capabilities and user access management
