**Job Description Summary**
The Engineer performs a role within the Gen IV Plant Systems Integration team which is focused on development of new nuclear advanced reactor projects (SFR, MHTGR, microreactors, and space reactors/propulsion). The candidate will work in a multiteam environment, working with partner organizations and suppliers to advance plant conceptual and detailed design and successfully deliver a new plants project. The candidate will produce an economically superior design by employing a balance of cutting edge and proven technologies and will be responsible for development and implementation of licensing and technical requirements along with the associated work processes for advanced work in new nuclear plants.
The preferred work location for this role is at the GEH Headquarters Wilmington, NC but qualified remote candidates will be considered.
**Job Description**
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Nuclear or Mechanical Engineering
+ Proficiency with PC and productivity software [examples include MS Word, MS Excel, MS Visio]
Desired Qualifications:
+ Masters of Science in Nuclear or Mechanical Engineering
+ 5 Years of experience in Nuclear Power Industry in an engineering capacity
+ 5+ years of commercial nuclear engineering experience in multiple capacities; Design, Licensing, PRA, and/or Systems - OR- 5+ years of shipyard nuclear systems engineering experience
+ Experience with Nuclear island, Turbine Island and Balance of Plant systems
+ Willingness to relocate to Wilmington, NC
_The salary range for this position is $74-95k. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience, their education, and the work location._
