Role and Responsibilities


  • Identify causes of systematic and random yield loss, drive to root cause, and implement countermeasures using data analysis methods and process knowledge.

  • Analyze bulk data sets, to find causes for yield trends and yield value changes.

  • Work with database and SQL servers to improve and refine data sets for analysis.

  • Track the impact of process improvements and incidents and predict the impact to yield.

  • Evaluate process changes using statistical analysis methods for effectiveness and risk.

  • Improve systems, documentation and procedures.

  • Drive projects and cross-functional teams for yield improvement or methodology improvement.

  • Work days and hours: 1st shift, Mon-Fri, 8am -5pm.


Skills and Qualifications


  • BS Degree in Engineering (EE, ChE, MatSci, MicroE,) or Science (Physics).

  • 3+ years experience in yield analysis or process integration. Semiconductor process engineering experience or similar may also be considered.

  • Must have experience using data mining techniques and history investigation to determine the cause of low yield from single point fliers and excursions.

  • Expert in SPC, DOE, Statistical Analysis.

  • Familiar with Project Management techniques.

  • Expert in Excel, PowerPoint, and various statistics programs (i.e. JMP, Spotfire).

  • Strong written and verbal presentation and communication skills.

  • Programming and/or scripting experience is a plus (Python, R, JMP, VB, Java ).
