Intel is seeking highly qualified candidates to join our Intel Federal (IFED) group within our larger Programmable Solution Group as a Software Engineer!


Join our Quartus and eTools development team as a Software Engineer where you will research, design, develop, and optimize software tools that enable the use of Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA).


Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:


Research, design, develop, and optimize software tools that enable the use of Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) and eASIC devices.


Develop and optimize compilers, place and route, flows, assemblers, models, tools, runtimes, and/or firmwares that are closely coupled to FPGA silicon, IP, and boards, while leveraging strong knowledge of FPGA hardware, logic design, board design, semiconductor devices, and chip layout.


Design, develop, and optimize software abstractions and frameworks for acceleration with the FPGA for domains such as deep learning, DSP algorithms, or data analytics.


Respond to customer/client requests or events as they occur.

Qualifications


Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.


Minimum Education Requirement:


- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or related field plus 6 or more years of industry work experience, or


- Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or related field plus 4 or more years of industry work experience, or


Minimum Required Qualifications:


Experience:

- 6 plus years Software development in C/C++.  

- 6 plus years in EDA tool development for place and route, and synthesis tools.

- 4 plus years in ASIC flow development.

- 4 plus years of experience with Verilog and VHDL design.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
