Position description
Department of Radiation Oncology, Mayo Clinic AZ, is searching for an Information Technology (IT) Project Analyst to join our expanding practice. Under limited direction assumes a lead role in the support, or coordination of support, for Radiation Oncology IT systems or modules across multiple clinical and/or business functions. Demonstrates understanding of the impact information technology has on business environment. Manages multiple competing objectives and communicates complex technical information in clear and unambiguous terms to management and the business units. Provides analysis and support for installed systems, as well as system implementation and integration projects, which require systems analysis, design, testing and implementation for specific modules or applications. Makes judgments and takes any reasonable action required to accomplish agreed-to project objectives. Resolves complex problems and/or coordinates the resolution and communication to stakeholders, proponents, or across the organization. May direct the activities of System Analysts. Performs additional job-related functions as detailed by immediate supervisor. Manages small to mid-sized projects. Contributes to software testing activities.
Provides analysis and support for installed systems and HL7 interfaces as well as implementation and integration projects that require system analysis, infrastructure design, testing and implementation of Mayo or vended applications. Functions as a liaison between clinical, business, IT, and vendor areas for planning and support purposes. May be required to provide on-call support

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline with a minimum of five years relevant experience required. A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology is preferred.

Additional qualifications
Master's degree in Information Technology, or a relevant technical discipline preferred. Demonstrated expertise in the principles of systems analysis concepts, methodologies, tools, standards and procedures, and product level analysis. Demonstrated experience with design and integration of new, upgrade, and replacement systems. Demonstrated ability to define and resolve problems and manage projects. Demonstrated oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent communication, organization, problem solving and facilitation skills. Excellent interpersonal skills including conflict resolution. Demonstrated history of continuing education in personnel, IT, and administrative processes. Strong understanding of financial concepts, business process, continuous improvement, and organizational development. Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows and Server products, Unix/Linux, Windows SQL Server databases, DICOM protocol, and computer networking concepts. Understanding of HL7 language preferred but not required.
Experience working in healthcare technology.
Experience in project management.
Experience with committee and consensus driven organizations.
Experience working with XenApp Server and Citrix Technologies.
Experience with Radiation Oncology applications Aria/Eclipse, MIM, Oncentra highly desired but not required.
