As a Quality Assurance Manager within PNC's Retail MIS organization. This is a remote position and can sit anywhere within the PNC footprint, except for Colorado, Hawaii or Alaska. There is limited expectation for regular in person, in office activities.
Software Quality Assurance Manager Role:
Review quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback to the crew, developers, scrum master and product owner
Creating detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases, test strategy and summary of testing performed
Estimating, prioritizing, planning and coordinating quality testing activities with the crew
Responsibilities/Management Of:
Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open-source tools
Karate / Cucumber / Selenium / Gherkin
Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
HP ALM, JIRA XRay
Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
Monitor debugging process results
Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies
Requirements:
Proven work and management experience in software testing and development to manage full stack engineers
Proven work experience in software quality assurance
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
Hands-on experience with automated testing tools, Karate-Postman, Cucumber-Selenium, Gherkin Language
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
Experience with performance and/or security and accessibility testing is a plus
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject preferred
Strong communication skills
Job Description
Manages the development and implementation of plans for inspecting, testing, and evaluating software product functions and features.
Oversee and develop product QA and test plans for each phase of the development cycle.
Plans all resources and schedules for functional and performance QA work. Oversees the selection of the QA and testing tool-kit. Supports the overall QA strategy for the team.
Tracks, reports-on, and works towards improvement of quality assurance metrics, tools, and processes.
Oversees performance of individual team members and team as a whole. Identifies and addresses staff training and development needs.

Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 5+ years of industry-relevant experience. At least 3 years of prior management experience is typically required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
