Responsibilities Main Purpose of role The PBNA Supply Chain Planning System Engineer will be part of a talented team that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance, and security. This position helps sustain and build out capabilities in our existing Supply Chain Planning suite of applications and infrastructure. The position was created as a result of the BCG / IT PBNA DevSecOps org design process. The ideal candidate is familiar with Agile software engineering practices and tools, passionate about the development and delivery of quality software, and enthusiastic about working with product owners, designers, engineers, and testers. The System Engineer will also collaborate with Architects to ensure solutions created by each ART and/or 3rd party supplier fit into and support the larger capabilities and direction of the overall solution. Incumbent in this position display proven leadership skills and can prioritize mission critical tasks and coordinate the support, development and new functionality of our systems so updates and other maintenance tasks are carried out without impacting daily operations. The System Engineer must exemplify technology security behaviors, concepts and guidelines and help lead the automation of testing and release management processes to reduce risk and the potential for human error. Accountabilities Work closely with our designers, developers, and product owners to evolve requirements into a working application Oversee the development and installation of new hardware and software. Design, code, deploy, maintain, and improve end-to-end applications Develop appropriate unit tests, adhere to coding standards, and best practices, and implement a cohesive end product Managing and monitoring all installed systems and infrastructure Installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software and system management tools Write custom scripts to reduce the need for human intervention Ensuring the highest levels of systems and infrastructure security and availability Providing one on one training and mentoring to junior team members Technically operating as a member of the PBNA Warehouse Agile DevOps team to achieve business goals Qualifications Keys Skills / Experience required Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related field required (Master's preferred) 1+ years solid comprehension of Lean-Agile frameworks, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) 5+ years' experience in system engineering and IT support required 5+ years Project management experience Proven track record of success in installation and maintenance of 3rd party Supply Chain software Technical skill set needed: Java Programming Oracle Stored Procedure Programming Autosys, FMS (File Management) Differentiating competencies required Strong experience in Program and Project Solutions in an enterprise software development & deployment environment Experience creating automated scripts and software preferred SAFe certification as an Agilist also a significant plus Solid networking and collaboration skills with ability to form working relationships with technical teams, system architects, product owners, business owners, and executives.
