We are looking for a Senior Computer Vision Engineer for Autonomous Vehicles in the Mapping team. What you'll be doing:
Developing core functionality for map-based driving.
Working with a variety of data from in-vehicle sensors (cameras, LIDAR, radar, GPS, odometry).
Performing in-vehicle tests, collecting data and completing autonomous drive missions.
Designing and integrating algorithmic solutions into the core of NVIDIA AV.
Develop highly efficient product code in C++ and make use of high algorithmic parallelism offered by GPGPU programming (CUDA).
Produce code and designs following automotive quality and safety standards.
What we need to see:
BS or MS in Computer Science, Applied Math, Robotics, or equivalent experience.
3+ years related industry experience.
Passionate about robotics and autonomous vehicles.
Strive to learn new things and like solving hard problems.
Strong math knowledge.
You have a background in computer vision.
Strong programming and debugging skills in C++ and/or Python.
Good communication and analytical skills. Ability to work with multiple teams in a dynamic environment.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Previous experience building HD maps for autonomous vehicles.
Experience fusing data from different sensor modalities (e.g. Images and LIDAR data).
Background in developing real-time computer vision systems.
Software development on embedded or automotive platforms.
Experience with GPGPU programming (CUDA).
Background with computer vision and 3D geometry.
