Team Overview:

Dun & Bradstreet is looking for a front-end React/TypeScript developer to join our Digital Platforms and Customer Experience team. You will be working with an agile team for the company's flagship website, as well as other web properties and products. Working in a fast-paced environment, the front-end Engineer will work closely with other developers, database administrators and project managers.

The Role:

As a front-end developer, you will join the Digital Platforms and Customer Experience team with energetic and high motivated team members. You will play a key role in development, maintenance and enhancements of application modules built on JavaScript, CSS and html. Additionally, you will interact with the business users to address any technical or data issues within the digital platform applications.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design and develop optimized code compliant to specification and technology standards

  2. Conduct code reviews, agile development, service-oriented architecture, and object-oriented programming

  3. Perform root-cause analysis (RCA) of complex issues ranging from hardware, operating system, application, network, and information security platforms while working closely with various infrastructure teams and business users to quickly arrive at creative, tactical, and long-term solutions.

  4. Collaborate with project teams to ensure solutions meet business objectives and fall within timelines and acceptance criteria

  5. Participate in testing of prototypes & validate test procedures to ensure that they are applicable to the design

  6. Validate technology platform to be used for a project and ensure common acceptance

  7. Be a team player, willing to work on any task that comes up while still being able to let loose and enjoy the environment

Key Qualifications

  1. BS in Computer Science or a related field, MS preferable

  2. 2+ years of experience in developing SPA Applications using React/TypeScript that connects to multiple Rest based APIs.

  3. 2+ years of experience in developing Mobile Apps using React Native that connects to a Rest based API.

  4. Experience using source control repositories such as SVN, Git and Bitbucket

  5. Eagerness to participate in and improve skills through pairing and/or design/code reviews

  6. Experience building applications with a framework using AngularJS, EmberJS, React, NodeJS and Backbone

  7. Experience with task management and continuous integration tools: NPM, Jenkins, Travis

  8. Strong UI, CSS and Web Design principles and concepts

  9. Strong understanding of multi-tiered applications running dynamic, data-driven Web applications

  10. Experience developing on top of web services

  11. Familiarity with cloud computing concepts

  12. Have demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies
