The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).

Job Description:



+ Experienced Structural Engineer to contribute to wind turbine Blade design.

+ Technical go to person for less experienced Engineers both FE & design aspects

+ In daily activities close interaction with all stake holders (Customers, Structural Designers, Detailed design, Process Engg , Production team, chief Engrs) related to blade design from end-to-end

+ Capable to handle the production in the startup phase. Responsible for quick addressal of issues related to any product deviations in productions, lifting & handling operation of blades.

+ Owning the Design specification ensures quality towards First time right approach.

+ Defines risk mitigation roadmaps and proposes solutions.

+ Represents their function on cross-functional activities, particularly on new technologies & RCAs.

+ Makes decisions independently, particularly in complex scenarios , wherever needs Pulls in experts (principal/ consulting/ chief consulting)

+ Finds smarter ways to complete validation plans and leads in breakdown and planning.

+ Assist Chief Engineer/s in technical approval of work and documentation.

+ Technical Leadership for highly skilled execution team to secure high quality solutions coveringFEA &, Methods development.

+ Adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements



Skills:



+ Sound fundamentals in structural mechanics & FEM methods.

+ Demonstrated application of Engg principles to Industrial problems.

+ FEM Tools: Any commercial FEM software . Preferred Abaqus & Ansys

+ Application of FEM tools in WT Blade design.

+ Deep insight in stress engineering subjects eg. mechanical design, structural analysis, FractureMechanics in Composites with a desire to learn and develop more

+ Good communication skills (both oral & written) & mentors/guides team effectively towards technical solutions.



Education:



+ Masters or Phd in Mechanical/Aerospace/Applied Mechanics or related Engineering Field from Reputed Institute with good Academic record.



Experience:



+ 15+ yrs Experience in Structural Analysis

+ Composite Structure design & Analysis Experience using FEM techniques.

+ Wide application of FEM Tools & Techniques to industrial problems

+ Preferential to Experience in Wind Turbine Blades structural Analysis.

+ Demonstrated problem solving approach & self driven.



**Desired Characteristics**



+ Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
