Position Summary




The Software Quality Engineer (SQE) works as a part of an Agile team responsible for the oversight, analysis, design, testing, and support of all HCHB application projects.




Job Duties & Responsibilities




  • Responsible for manual test creation, documentation, and execution



  • Participates in the design of the HCHB products and ensures product deployed meets functional and non-functional requirements



  • Ensures work meets company guidelines, regulatory expectations, QA department procedures



  • Represents the quality role and function on the agile team(s) and advocates for efficient and successful quality engineering activities, i.e. is the voice of quality.



  • Responsible for quality/testing approval sign off prior to deployment to Production



  • Ensure quality activities are adequately estimated and planned, including participating in refinements, standups, and planning meetings



  • Assists with the creation and management of testing environment(s)



  • Documents and analyzes potential issues to determine if resolution or escalation is needed



  • Identifies user assumptions, system performance issues, and criteria for project success



  • Basic understanding of clinical and/or financial Home Healthcare processes, regulations and HCHB SDLC policies and procedures.



  • Foundation level knowledge and understanding of QA principles, processes, and methodologies.



  • Creates SQL queries to be used in data creation and validation



  • Demos product features to Product Owners, including presenting and answering questions about test approach








Qualifications/Technical Skills:




  • Demonstrates an understanding of clinical and/or financial Home Healthcare processes and regulations is recommended



  • Experience working in an agile software development environment.

    • Preference given to those with experience in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).



  • 3+ years of experience developing, executing, and analyzing software tests

    • Preference given to candidates working with .NET, Java, Kotlin & JavaScript



  • 2+ Years SQL experience with relational databases (preference given to MS SQL 2014 and above).



  • Experience with CI/CD tools and platforms, preferably with ADO (Azure DevOps)



  • Preferred experience with Microsoft UI Automation, Selenium, Appium



  • Preferred experience with REST/WebAPI service fundamentals



  • Preferred experience with performance and load testing with JMeter, Gatling, Locust, LoadNinja, LoadRunner, or similar tools



  • Preferred experience with data managed in cloud instances, preferably Azure Cloud.

  • This position can be located in Dallas, TX or Louisville, KY
