**ROLE SUMMARY**
The Manufacturing Investigator role is responsible for providing real time investigation support for Quality and EHS incidents including QARs,ERs, OSHA Recordable injuries, spills and near misses.
Investigations will be conducted using applicable Method 1/DMAIC/Pfizer Human Factors (PHP) tools as well as the Deviation (ER/QAR) Content Guides adhering to all Quality and EHS standards.
The Investigator will be responsible for conducting a thorough investigation, identifying root cause and proposing Corrective Actions and Preventive Actions (CAPA's) for deviations to quality and safety standards. The investigator will also be responsible for conducting Quality/PHP and EHS proactive continuous improvement investigations and assessments.
**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**
The Investigator role will support all areas of API and DP (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients and Drug Product) with a focus on EHS (recordable, near miss and proactive investigations) and Pfizer Human Factors (QAR, ER and proactive) investigations.
The Investigator will:
+ Successfully complete Responsible Person/Investigator On-The-Job Training (OJT).
+ Become a certified Pfizer Human Performance (PHP) practitioner.
+ Train other colleagues/contractors on Responsible Person/Investigator On-The-Job Training (OJT) as a Job Task Trainer.
+ Support, lead and document investigations (quality and EHS) using applicable root cause problem solving tools.
+ Work directly with plant professionals/engineers, shop floor colleagues, leaders, maintenance, reliability engineers, quality professionals and EHS professionals to complete a thorough investigations in a timely fashion.
+ Attend EHS/Quality review meetings to support completion of investigations and collaboration with operations and support functions.
+ Coach and mentor new colleagues involved with investigations on the investigation processes and tools.
+ Review data and metrics to suggest Continuous Improvement opportunities for API and DP and support associated projects when time allows.
+ Utilize digital investigation tools and support adoption of tools across API and DP.
+ Inspire a culture of continuous improvement by partnering effectively with personnel involved in the investigation process.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Applicant must have a High School Diploma (or Equivalent) and 8 years of relevant experience OR an associates degree with 6 years of experience OR a bachelors with at least 3 years of experience OR Masters with more than 1 year of experience.
+ Experience:
+ Ability to effectively coach and mentor others.
+ Ability to facilitate one on one and group discussions.
+ M1 and PHP education and experience preferred.
+ Lean Six Sigma education and experience preferred.
+ Ability to connect the mission of the team to site goals.
+ Language Skills: Must have solid oral and written communication skills.
+ Work Environment: Must effectively manage changing workload in a very fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
Must be self-motivated and willing to learn new and changing responsibilities.
**PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS**
Job will include standing, walking, sitting, ability to perform mathematical calculations and complex data analysis. Occasional lifting may be required.
**NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS**
This is a 1st Shift Position with support to 2nd and 3rd shift production. Job may require occasional weekend/evening work supporting a 24-hour/7 day operation.
