The Test Engineering organization at the National Security Campus (NSC) is a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) facility managed and operated by Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technology (FM&T). Our primary business is to manufacture sophisticated mechanical, electronic, and engineered material components for our nation€™s defense system. Our goal is to seek innovative solutions that surpass our customers€™ expectations. To accomplish this, we research, develop, and deploy some of the most advanced design and manufacturing technologies in use in the United States today.
Honeywell FM&T is on the leading edge of supplying engineering and manufacturing expertise for our nation's defense and national security. All positions at FM&T require U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance. This highly visible role will provide you with an opportunity to showcase your technical background and experience.
Summary of Duties:
Plans, organizes, coordinates, and manages the overall activities of a technical work unit or team consisting of engineers, scientists and other qualified individuals
Balances the potentially competing needs of multiple customers
Champion initiatives to resolve critical processes and technological-related issues in the materials area
Technology vision, strategy, and Business management oversight; innovations and technological advances that improve quality, reduce flowtime, and improve productivity
Cultivate career development of staff members through coaching, training, performance evaluations and appropriate job assignments: maintain technical competence and leadership, and establish management succession
Strong customer interface skills and responsiveness to meet customer needs
Team and negotiation skills with multiple functional disciplines to achieve performance goals and business improvements
Ability to travel up to 10%
YOU MUST HAVE
US citizenship in order to obtain and maintain US Department of Energy \"\"Q\"\" level security clearance
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited institution or BS in Physics
7 years of experience in engineering or science-based field of study

Engineering experience and/or a scientific field
Automated Tester Equipment (ATE), Environmental Testing, Software Architecture, or Test design

Ability to positively influence others, create a passion for excellence, and execute multiple projects while meeting customer expectations
Requirements writing and generation
Strong background and experience with Doors database and requirements management
Test cases and test procedures, both writing and executing on target
Systems and Test Equipment background
Background in DO-178B, DO-254, ARP - 4754, DO- 160 and Mil Standard
