Summary:
Acts as a key member of the Windows Systems team ensuring the Windows Server environment is running effectively and efficiently. Performs a variety of functions to ensure the Windows Systems environment is available, reliable, and stable. This includes the installation, monitoring, maintenance, and retirement of systems both physical and virtual. Support is routinely done for medium to large scale systems of high criticality to the business.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Install new or enhanced applications and/or hardware; assist in the installation of servers both physical and virtual
Monitor servers and applications for availability and react quickly to resolve error conditions
Work closely and escalates issues directly with vendors to ensure that supporting operating systems are compliant with applications, including required patch levels, hot fixes, and revisions
Conduct activities in a safe and healthy manner and works in accordance with established HS&E requirements
You Must Have:
U.S. Citizenship needed to obtain and maintain required US Dept. of Energy €œQ€-level security clearance
Bachelor's degree in the field of Information Systems, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering, with a minimum of
24 semester hours of computer-related courses, two additional years of direct work experience in lieu of a bachelor€™s degree
Limited professional experience with at least 3 months of practical experience in a systems administration role is required; 1-3 years preferred
We Value:
Demonstrated experience as a Windows system administrator supporting Windows Server 2012 to Server 2019 operating systems
Demonstrated experience administering Active Directory and Group Policy management.
Demonstrated experience administering O365 applications such as Exchange Online, Teams, One Drive, and Sharepoint
Demonstrated experience with and understanding of cyber security concepts.
Demonstrated experience managing HP server hardware.
General knowledge and experience in scripting tools (PowerShell) to support automation efforts and administration
Attention to detail in completion of processes and maintaining documentation.
