Basic Qualifications
Education/Training: Associates Degree in related field required, or equivalent relevant experience; obtain and maintain appropriate Bank Product Knowledge Certification.
Skill(s): Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; proficient PC skills, including Microsoft
Word, Excel, Power Point and Adobe/Nuance; working knowledge of bank systems preferred; working knowledge of report writers and core processor systems preferred; visual and auditory skills; valid
drivers license.
Experience: A minimum of two (2) years' experience in related banking or finance positions preferred.
General Responsibilities
Responsible for performing various duties to support the appraisal function; construction escrow and inspection functions; overall loan review function for the Bank including preparing periodic Lending Risk Reports; coordinating work within the department as well as with other departments; reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; responding to inquiries or requests for information.
Essential Duties
1. Performs various duties to support the appraisal functionof which the following are illustrative:
a. Orders new appraisals and tracks status to assure timely delivery of appraisals.
b. Answers questions and provides information to appraisers, as needed.
c. Orders and tracks appraisal reviews.
d. Distributes appraisals, appraisal reviews, and invoices to appropriate individuals, and uploads documents into Calyx.
e. Reviews FNMAs appraisal evaluation for risk score and eligibility issues.
f. Processes payments for appraisals and appraisal reviews.
g. Answers borrowers questions regarding appraisals, scheduling, etc.
h. Maintains Approved Appraisers List with annual updates to licensing requirements.
2.Performs various duties to support the consumer construction escrow function:
a. Orders plan review from inspectors.
b. Maintains Construction Escrow Disbursement Files.
c. Coordinates construction inspection with the inspector, contractor and borrower.
d. Pays the builder per the Plan Review/Draw Schedule/Inspector Review.
e. Orders foundation location surveys from surveyors.
f. Coordinates with Loan Operations when construction is complete to transfer file.
g. Maintains approved Contractors & Inspectors Lists with appropriate licensing.
3. Performs various duties to support the insurance claim function:
a. Tracking of insurance claim proceeds.
b. Coordinates inspections as required with the inspector, contractor, and borrower.
c. Maintains Insurance Claim Disbursement Files.
4. Performs administrative duties to support the Lending Risk Monitoring (LRM) function of which the following are illustrative:
a. Prepares monthly reports of delinquency, non-performing loans, and others as requested.
b. Prepares Watch List.
c. Prepares the Quality Report.
d. Ensures proper coding to loans with changes in risk rating, impaired, non-accrual or TDR status.
e. Ensures procedures are updated as needed for various duties in the department.
5. Conduct residential mortgage reviews including post-closing and prefunding on a monthly basis. Ensure the mortgage loans sold to Fannie Mae are within the policy guidelines. Communicate the results of those analyses to the Lending Risk Monitoring Analyst II & LRM Manager.
6.Serves as backup to Lending Risk Monitoring Analyst II as needed.
7. Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the department as well as with other departments to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information.
8. Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented topromote an environment which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory
behavior in the workplace.
9. Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the
Bank's compliancewith all regulatory requirements, e.g. Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act, etc.
10. Reports pertinent information to the manager as requested, or according to an established schedule; Compiles information as necessary or as directed and provides data to appropriate bank personnel.
11. Assists with providing any requested information to bank consultants, regulators, and accountants.
12. Performs other related duties as assigned.
