**Job Purpose:**
Citi Global Functions Technology are seeking an experienced Finance Control Technology Architecture, Infrastructure and Release Management lead to direct a team of highly skilled professionals to meet Business critical and Regulatory requirements. This critical role will focus on adopting and applying the consistent best practices from an architecture, infrastructure, dev ops, QA automation and stability perspective across all four verticals of the Finance Control group Product Control, Valuation Control, BSS, and Strategic Ledger Transformation. Key stakeholders will include GFT Architecture Group, GFT Product Support & Resilience group and Product Control & Accounting Infrastructure, and respective application development teams.
Global Finance Control Technology - Tech lead SVP role demands instrumental leadership and collaborative style deliveries, leveraging the relationships with Finance and technology stakeholders. Targeting a technology leader, with a track record of delivery, who approaches problem solving and architecture with a true engineering mind-set. It is important that the successful candidate instils a no-blame culture that fosters collaboration and teamwork, whilst ensuring application is managed with strong controls and meets the latest regulatory reporting requirements.
The candidate should have demonstrated success in developing a bold strategic agenda, driving the action plan, building/leading a high performing team and agility to learn new technologies to deliver results. The ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to recruit, develop, and retain talent, and should demonstrate excellent leadership skills that leverage the capabilities of peers, business partners, associates, and industry resources.
The candidate should be versatile and adaptable to work within an evolving transformation team with business critical and regulatory pressures.
Team to be managed may be located across NY, Tampa, London, and Pune. But as Citi is going through tremendous transformational journey, role can evolve. The desired hire will be a technology oriented senior person at Senior Vice President level to justify the responsibilities assigned.
This is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the App Development Teams.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Manage/develop multiple teams of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team. Build global teams in India, UK, US to cater the technology needs for committed delivery and improve Staff to Contractor ratio in alignment with department goals.
+ Drive the design and development of system architecture to enhance delivery is adapted to the latest architecture guidelines. Design & deliver solutions adhering to unified architecture and data quality standards.
+ Collaborate, Influences, and negotiate with partners across functions in Technology, data, and Business Functions, where needed.
+ Resolves a variety of broad based and complex issues. Solve and provide direction to the team/partners using understanding in multiple functional areas, technology directions and business needs.
+ Contribute to defining and implementing best practices and processes for the team, department to ensure consistency and transparency. Define and deliver development standards, operational standards as part of DeVos within and across department. This is to ensure productivity of the team and resiliency of the application
+ Ensures managed areas are defining and implementing systems that are aligned with business strategy and goals. Educate, percolate, and emphasize on the technical strategy to all levels of the team to ensure implementation.
+ Prepare and present regular team/project/strategy reviews to senior management and leaders
+ Release management - Ensure release is managed with strong controls, documentation, approval and keep up to date with regulatory reporting
+ Stability Stability of an application refers to availability and reliability of an application to meet application users requirements. This role would collaborate with Global Production Assurance (Production Support), Application Development, App Manager, PCAT and Citi Infrastructure teams to ensure stability of applications in scope.
+ Infrastructure - Partner with PC&A Infrastructure, App Manager and Tech Mandatory leads to ensure we are leading the way forward with adoption and seamless implementation of infrastructure.
+ QA Automation Manage a QA automation team that automates QA testing based on documented test cases that App Dev Team & Manual QA testing teams have.
+ Architecture Manage Architect roles and responsibilities across all the applications which are part of Finance Control Technology . Spreadhead collaboration with GFT architecture groups
+ Manage/develop multiple teams of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g., performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions) as well as ensure team adheres to best practices and process
+ Develop vision for team around roles and responsibilities, and structure team to ensure greatest impact, efficient use of resource, and alignment to business structures
+ Prepare and present regular team/project reviews to senior management and business leaders
**Qualifications:**
+ 10-12+ years of Software Development specific to Java, Angular, Oracle, WebSphere, Containers, Big Data, Redis, Kafka and others having delivered banking applications using them. Industry standard or product provided certifications experience
+ 5-8 leadership and managerial experience
+ Hands on experience in agile software development .
+ Proven CI-CD, and Testing Automation experience.
+ Proficiency in Bit Bucket, JIRA, Build & Deployment Tools, Selenium and MVC frameworks
+ Experience in building solutions that handle large data sets in real time & batch modes including know-how of ETL tools like Ab Initio, TalenD, Java Spark.
+ Migration experience to containers, relational database to big data, and traditional UX to MVC based UX.
+ Experience in UX, Database, and Cloud migrations including capacity planning and sizing
+ Experience in addressing stability concerns of an application
+ Experience collaborating with different teams and stakeholders to mange dependencies and deliveries on time
+ PMP Certification, MBA, Specific to business Licenses, Lean Certification, Scaled Agile certification, and other Experience with financial products
+ Advanced knowledge of strategic direction of the function within relevant part of the business Proficient computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Office applications
+ Experience in working with globally placed teams
+ Flexibility and ability to learn new technologies and trends
**Preferences:**
+ Industry standard certifications on Java, databases and ETL preferred
+ Industry standard certifications on project/program management, agile/scrum and lean preferred
**Education:**
+ Bachelors degree/University degree with required experience
+ Masters Degree preferred.
