021913 2nd Shift Yarn Setup Mechanic (Open)
Job Description:
Major Responsibilities:
Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulic troubleshooting, operation and repair of production machines (including lathes and milling machines).
Adheres to all plant safety policies. Participates in plant-wide safety, housekeeping, operational Excellence and Lean Manufacturing programs.
Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints.
Installing new production equipment.
Servicing and maintaining equipment including motors, cranes, forklifts conveyor systems, transmission systems, and production-related equipment etc.
Inspecting and assessing the functionality of production machines.
Troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns.
Adjusting mechanical parts using hand and machine tools.
Fabricating parts for repairs and machine upgrades.
Conducting routine maintenance and safety checks.
Communicating with the production team and maintaining a clean work area.
Preparing and submitting maintenance reports.
Educationand Skills:
Industrial Maintenance Technician Requirements:
Must have at least five years of experience with complex troubleshooting of Production equipment.
Previous - Work Experience- as an Industrial Maintenance Technician.
In-depth knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems maintenance.
Knowledge of primary and secondary power systems, motors, switch gears, electrical panels, lighting systems, and general equipment maintenance is a plus
PLC Troubleshooting
Qualified welder (MIG, TIG, ARC, oxy acetylene, brazing/soldering, failure analysis, etc.)
Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations.
Must use appropriate safety gear to perform specific functions of the job
Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Good communication, computer and reporting skills.
Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment.
Good time-management skills.
