**5G Transport Software Engineer**

As a **5G Transport Software Engineer** , you will be part of a cross functional global team of experts to design and build services, tools, and frameworks that are used across DELL 5G SW engineering teams.


**You Will:**


+ Work with a cross functional global team to design, build and deliver production ready software with Dell standards

+ Participate in design and architecture activities for Transport Network components in 5G RAN

+ Analyze software requirements, develop high quality, reliable and maintainable code

+ Enabling and participating in all software verification/integration (UT, Component, E2E testing)

+ Develop software based on engineering solutions aligned with 3GPP and O-RAN Alliance (O-RAN) specifications for 5G networks in the open RAN ecosystem

**Essential Requirements:**


+ More than 3 years of relevant experience


+ Proficiency in one or more of the following languages: C/C++, Python, Go and excellent knowledge of Object-oriented programming and Data Structures

+ Excellent knowledge of Linux environment (system libraries, file systems, and client-server protocols, troubleshooting/Debugging, networking) and bash/shell scripting

+ Good Knowledge in Networking topics: Routing/Switching, IPv(4/6), DHCP, ARP, SCTP, IPsec, TLS, VLAN, Precision Timing Protocol (PTP)

+ Knowledge of GIT

+ Knowledge of Containers concepts


**Desirable Requirements:**


+ Knowledge of the 5G ORAN, 5GNR technologies and the 3GPP specification

+ Understanding of Fronthaul, Midhaul and Backhaul in 5G RAN

+ Network application development experience (DPDK Applications, throughput intensive applications)
