Our team has an immediate need for a Lead Systems Engineer with passion for DO-254 design and compliance. You will work across disciplines within the turbine engines and power systems business to drive growth across a wide portfolio of aerospace products.
Key Responsibilities
€¢ Guide development decisions for complex electronic design considerations for a wide variety of engine and power system products.
€¢ Lead technical teams through system development lifecycle for complex electronic design solutions and DO-254 compliance, including supporting system trades, and negotiating module requirements derived from system requirements, developing architectures, completing design, analysis, and testing in an engineering laboratory setting.
€¢ Collaborate with a global, multi-disciplinary team of systems, software, circuit design, and mechanical engineers.
€¢ Mentor and coach developing engineers, peers, and leaders in DO-254 design and compliance.
YOU MUST HAVE
€¢ Bachelor€™s Degree €“ Electrical Engineering or Systems Engineering
€¢ 10+ years of experience engineering electrical systems
€¢ Experience with ARP4754A and DO-254 validation, verification, and compliance
€¢ Must be a US Citizen
WE VALUE
€¢ Master of Engineering degree preferred
€¢ Technical proficiency pertaining to DO-254 (Design Assurance Guidance for Airborne Electronic Hardware) and DO178 (Software Considerations in Airborne Systems and Equipment Certification).
€¢ Experience creating DO-254 compliance plans and reports
€¢ Proficiency applying ARP4754A for requirement based engineering
€¢ Proficiency using IBM Rational DOORS, Clear Case and ClearQuest
€¢ Digital Design experience €“ Develop circuit cards that incorporate Microcontrollers, Processors, DSPs, Volatile and Non-Volatile Memory technologies, ASICs, FPGAs, Analog interfaces, High Speed Digital interfaces, ADCs, DACs, etc.
€¢ Experience with product certification guided by FAA/EASA requirements, DO-160, DO-178 and, DO-254 process compliance
€¢ Strong interpersonal, communication, teaming, customer interaction and personal leadership abilities, and the ability to handle multiple activities/priorities effectively
€¢ Able to work with Product Engineers, Program Managers, Customers, Peers, and Certification Authorities striving to build positive working relationships
€¢ Experience leading and influencing diverse and global teams
