Job Description:

Senior Managers have begun and are developing their thought leadership journey. They are sound negotiators and are highly articulate individuals who encompass the full range of skills and procurement and supply chain experience to identify opportunities in the market. They seamlessly pivot between sales and program management as they scope programs of work, set up teams and map out pathways of success right through the post-implementation review stages. Our clients are looking for exceptional end-to-end program delivery and transformation capabilities that incorporates best practice methodologies. We ensure our teams are set up for success to compete for these deals.

Responsibilities

  • Experience in global implementations, with the flexibility to adapt to multiple time zones

  • Sharp business acumen to ensure thorough understanding of business needs and service requirements

  • Strength in coordinating and driving outcomes with internal business units and external partners

  • Ability to articulate risks in group settings and influence stakeholders to arrive at the best solution to resolve challenges

  • Comfort in providing delivery support to stay ahead of critical paths / milestones

  • Utilize the Project Portfolio Management tools for planning resources, project milestones, risks and financials

  • Maintain the overall Project Plan ensuring that the plan appropriately reflects key interdependencies and external dependencies.

  • Manage critical path and high-risk activities, identifying potential threats and conflicts, and implementing mitigating actions. Lead timely issue identification, resolution, escalation when appropriate

  • Balances cost, time, and risk levels to deliver the business requirements within agreed resource and budget constraints

  • Develop and implement change control processes, communication plans, test strategies, financial and benefits tracking processes for the program

Qualifications

Basic

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

  • At least 8 years of experience of relevant experience


Preferred

  • Superior performance in relevant undergraduate studies (e.g., Sourcing and Procurement, Business, Supply Chain, etc.)

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel analysis and communication in MSWord and MS PowerPoint

  • 8 years of experience required in sourcing and procurement with a proven track record of success

  • 6 years of consulting experience within a management consulting firm

  • Must have demonstrated exposure in fostering client relationships to sell consulting engagements and proven success in applying leading strategic procurement practices including strategic sourcing, category management, supplier relationship management and commercial negotiation

  • Ability to be based out of our Chicago, IL office

  • Ability to travel up to80% of your time

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.

Work Remotely:
This role is based out of Chicago, IL and is temporarily remote until company's decision to return to office. Business travel will be required for client support.
