The Compliance Anti Money Laundering Risk Management Intermediate Analyst is an intermediate level role responsible for recommending/ establishing internal procedures to prevent money laundering and assist in all matters concerning financial crimes in coordination with the broader Anti-Money Laundering (AML) team. The overall objective is to utilize established disciplinary knowledge to identify inconsistencies in data or result and formulate strategic recommendations on policies, procedures, and practices.


**Responsibilities:**


+ Identify, vet and address potential risks or escalated issues with the assistance of functional partners and key stakeholders

+ Communicate with internal entities to incorporate findings of the AML control program

+ Utilize information from regulatory changes, new regulations, and internal policy changes to further identify new key risk areas

+ Analyze comparative data, prepare and present reports related to AML risk assessments, and monitor AML related issues and escalations

+ Create and develop AML Compliance Risk Management (ACRM) standards and policies

+ Synthesize/analyze risk information and advise/recommend on a plan of action

+ Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


**Qualifications:**


+ 2-5 years of relevant experience

+ Knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and regulations preferred

+ Proficient computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Office applications

+ Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication


**Education:**


+ Bachelors Degree/University degree or equivalent experience

**Key Responsabilites**


+ Being a facilitator in the management of activities and projects through the application of methodologies or market trends (agile methodologies, objectives and key results). Train, share and encourage the team to be updated in these subjects.

+ Responsible or co-responsible for the implementation of projects related to new or changes of policies, standards, regulations, or others that could be assigned. Responsible for its management from the analysis stage, solution design and implementation, addressing the risks properly during its execution, managing the time prioritizing the most important or critical tasks, using available tools to manage the project/issue, carrying out the monitoring and status of activities, generating flowcharts of the new or impacted processes and presentations to management that allow it to demonstrate the final benefits or results of the project.

+ Identify and evaluate trends or schemes that represent a higher risk of Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing for the Bank, such as payments through intermediaries, virtual assets, cryptocurrencies, Fintechs and other emerging technologies.

+ Advise business in KYC (Know your customer) requirements since the start of customer relationship and during its renewal process, in order to mitigate the risk of Money Laundering, coordinating with support hubs such as BSU and KYC REM. Advise the business on policies, regulations and standards related to KYC, in order to be informed and updated in Money Laundering prevention matters.

+ Analyze and assess the customer database, creating new valuable information that allows identify trends or behaviors regarding Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing.

+ Advise to all areas of the Bank in the procedures development in order to comply with AML/CFT laws, regulations and policies, regarding processes under their supervision.

+ Analyze negative news in coordination with AMLCO, identifying AML and CFT risks, and perform the scalations to the corresponding forums if apply.

+ Prepare the Local AML Unit Communication plan; elaborate and send communications to the Bank Units related to the prevention of Money laundering and Terrorism financing, as appropriate.

+ Evaluate new products (NPA) and significant changes in existing products, review and assess Products Programs, under the AML corporate policies and local regulation scope.

**Technical Qualifications**


+ Intermediate knowledge of new financial businesses, trends or schemes that represent a higher risk of money laundering: with preference in payments intermediation (PIS), virtual assets (VA), cryptocurrencies, Fintechs and other emerging technologies.

+ Knowledge in modeling business processes, with holistic vision and focus on results.

+ High ML/FT risk analysis. With the ability to identify the ML/FT risks in the different stages of the AML program Life Cycle of the Corporation, as well as in those process that local regulation recommends.

+ Project Management. Project management using agile methodologies, objectives and key Results. Gantt, issues, and risk management.

+ High impact presentations, generating a clear agenda of the points to be treated, presenting the objective clearly, raising a strategy and/or developing appropriate content according to the subject, using process flows, comparative tables, statistics, metrics, pros and cons, timelines and infographics that allow to capture the target audience. Advanced PowerPoint knowledge.

+ Database Management: knowledge in Excel or data mining tools, which allow you efficient processes.

+ Advanced Excel: Dashboards management and dynamic tables.

+ English: intermediate/advanced.

+ Minimum experience of 3 to 5 years in the Money laundering and Terrorism financing risks management.
