We are looking for Application Developer with excellent data analysis and report development skills using Java, EJB, PL/SQL and ETL technology, with troubleshooting and communication skills for banking applications.


As a member of Datawarehouse team, you will be developing and enhancing Regulatory Reporting functionalities, on AIX/Linux based hosts, OpenShift platforms, Oracle databases and analytics shared platforms which run tools such as TIBCO, WAS, Talend, and Business Objects. Additionally, you will be exposed to MQ, NDM, Kafka, and other vendor application software in the environment.


Your goal will be to provide timely solution delivery and better data quality for Regulatory reporting requirements, without any impact to system stability and overall resiliency.


Experience


+ Minimum of 7 years work experience in Application/Report development which includes at least 4 years in Banking/Financial Services Organizations.

+ Experience in large scale Enterprise Report development and/or engineering roles

+ Think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges in a banking environment for optimal solution to the regulatory reporting requirements.


Responsibilities


+ Design, Develop and Implement reporting functionalities using PL/SQL, Java, EJB, Talend, and/or any other appropriate tools and technologies

+ Create technical specifications and articulate the solution with stakeholders as necessary

+ Perform data analysis/map-gap analysis to understand existing raw data and map the data elements to the reporting requirements

+ Understand existing report code, data flow and application functions, to implement new enhancements required by Business

+ Prepare handover documents and user guides as required for support and operations teams to use the functionalities implemented.

+ Write good quality code and maintain code base versioning appropriately

+ Troubleshoot and resolve errors/exceptions, and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

+ Take proactive measures to increase stability of Production applications

+ Performance tuning and query optimization

+ Day to day status reports and assignments by manager


Essential Technical Skills


+ Strong programming skills in Java technologies having Struts, Spring, JDBC, EJB, JSP, WAS

+ Excellent hands-on skills with PL/SQL programming, SQL Queries, Partitioning, Performance tuning, AWR reports.

+ Experience with UNIX (AIX and Linux) Operating Systems, Unix scripting (Shell, PERL, Python)

+ Experience with IBM NDM/Connect Direct, FTP, SCP, SSH and other data/file transfer technologies

+ Experience with AutoSys Job Scheduling and other automation tools

+ Working knowledge of monitoring tech stack like ITRS, AppDynamics, ELK, etc.

+ Working knowledge of Change and Release Management tools (ServiceNow, uDeploy)

+ Experience in handling different format like XML, JSON, CSV, etc.

+ Good knowledge of SWIFT messaging and Payment domain is plus
