Job Description
As an Application Development Senior Advisor in test, you will work with a highly Agile team to develop, execute, validate and maintain software products. The ideal team member will be creative, responsive, flexible, and willing to participate in an open collaborative peer environment. The candidate will work
on a team of high performers and does not shy away from opportunities to provide and take feedback to and from team members. The candidate works towards delivering a product and follows Software Engineering practices as defined by Evernorth Standards.
The Role
As an Application Development Senior Advisor - QA Tester you will;
Support the full software lifecycle of design, development, testing, and support for technical delivery. Create and execute test cases based on test strategy
Develop and review test plans.
Use appropriate test methods (i.e. security, integration, accessibility, regression, non-functional...) Collaborate across teams and departments to lead in best practices
Understand agile principles and methodologies and the pressures of a regular, short release cycle Participate in (or supports) agile ceremonies
Work with PO and the team to understand the business value and break down the feature as stories Review user story / requirements to identify ambiguities
Communicate clearly, concisely and effective for your audience.
Validate new or revised components or systems perform to expectation
Identify defects and write reproducible bug reports following team standards for defects Perform defect analysis and suggest improvements
Identify risks and help mitigate
Have industry-leading technical abilities that enable you to improve product quality.
Skills & Preferred Qualifications
2+ yearsequivalent work experience in QA
Proficient in Functional, System, and Integration testing in a continuous integration SDLC.
Previous experience inreading and writing SQL queries
Experience with tools: Git, Jenkins, Postman as well as JIRA, Test Rails
Continuous integration or continuous delivery environment knowledge using Jenkins, GIT or equivalent tools preferred Exposure to both automated and headless testing a plus.
Healthcare industry experience a plus.
Analytical and excels at problem-solving
Ability to estimate effort
Effectively prioritize work to meet timelines and clearly articulate impacts to priorities.
Ability to understand complex application/data flow to decide the most effective testing approach
Proficient oral and written communication skills
Automation driven to improve maintainability and testability
Bachelor's Degree required or the equivalence in education and experience.
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $105,600 - $176,000, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
