Job Description:

Using automated equipment, process loose, bagged coin into conformed rolls to be packaged in various denomination boxes for daily customer change order shipments. Coin Processor is a dual-function job: Loader and boxer/packer. Each function is performed in an alternating manner i.e., alternating positions per four hours or every other day. The loader continuously fills machine hoppers with loose coin while the packer-boxer oversees and directs the flow of rolled coin on the conveyor into boxes. The boxer then weighs, seals initials and places boxes of rolled coin onto the rack.

Responsibilities:

• Continuously feed bags of loose coin into the machine hopper for up to four (4) hours per shift, operating from 2 to 7 machines at a time.

• Manually position coin rolling machine chutes to fill boxes on conveyor belt. Seal, weigh, initial lift boxes onto rack. Function is performed repetitiously for up to four (4) hours per shift. Depending on the number of machines, a pacer will process as many as 200+ boxes per 4-hour shift

Requirements:

• Repetitiously lift, without assistance, at least 50 pounds from floor to 3-4-foot level.

• Ability to move bulk coin with hand carts or manual pallet jacks.

• Unrestricted ability to stand, walk, bend and squat

• Ability to repetitiously lift bags of coin weighing from 30-55 lbs. from ground level to a height of at least 4 feet, cut open and pour the contents into a machine hopper, approximately one bag per minute.

• Ability to lift boxes of rolled coin (weighing as much as 12-25 lbs.) off conveyor belt and position on rack on level from 6 inches to 3 feet off floor level.

• Ability to count, add and subtract record numbers and signatures; read weights and distinguish coin denominations.

• Ability to meet state licensing requirements for unarmed guard o non-commissioned security officer.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time schedule consists of 40 hours per week performed in 8 hour or split shifts.

• Work is performed in a room or work area within a vault with little or n o exposure to outside light.

Essential Functions/Job Qualifications
As part of the qualification process for the Coin Processor position, a Human Performance Evaluation (HPE) is required. This evaluation requires successful completion of testing in the following areas:

Lift:

• 25lbs vertical lift from 10 inches to 66 inches from the floor (1X)

Lift-Carry:

• 18lbs vertical lift from 1 inch to 44 inches from the floor, and horizontally transfer 15ft (4X)

• 18lbs vertical lift from 10 inches to 36 inches from the floor and horizontally transfer 300ft (1X) - 50lbs vertical lift from 10 inches to 36 inches from the floor and horizontally transfer 2ft (2X)

Push-Pull:

• Horizontally transfer 47lbs of force on a sled (single, non-dominant arm), a distance of 1ft (2X)

Repetitive Coupling:

• Squeeze Jamar Hand Dynamometer requiring forces up to 30lbs / both right & left hands (4X each)
