**Position Description:**


+ As a Cloud /Administrator, with Devops experience the selected individual is responsible for effective provisioning, installation / configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure This individual participates in technical development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff and Business Partners.

+ The selected individual will be working in the Boeing India Engineering and Technology Center (BIETC) in Bangalore, India. This is an engaging technical position required to support, maintain and provision Jeppesen (a fully owned subsidiary of Boeing) back office and customer facing infrastructure services for multiple products, applications, and core computing systems.

+ This individual will assist project teams with technical issues in the Initiation and Planning phases using our standard JIRA Project Management Methodology. These activities include the definition of needs, benefits, and technical strategy; research & development within the project life-cycle; technical analysis and requirements gathering; and support of operations staff in executing, testing and rolling-out the solutions.

+ This individual is accountable for Windows Application and Infrastructure systems that support all aspects of Jeppesen back office and customer facing Applications. Responsibilities on these systems include provisioning, operations and support, maintenance and development to ensure continual innovation. The System Engineer is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff and Business Partners.

+ This individual will assist project teams with technical issues in the Initiation and Planning phases of our standard Project Management Methodology. These activities include the definition of needs, benefits, and technical strategy; research & development within the project life-cycle; technical analysis and design; and support of operations staff in executing, testing and rolling-out the solutions. Participation on projects is focused on smoothing the transition of projects from development staff to production staff by performing operations activities within the project life-cycle. Applies appropriate estimating techniques to determine the level of effort and financial investment required for the technical implementation of the tools or new solutions.

+ The selected individual will also be responsible to provide support to development of internal competency and resources for critical skill sets for the Digital Aviation solutions team in Boeing India.

+ This position develops and maintains technical relationships / partnerships with customers, suppliers, peers, partners and team members to execute on projects.

+ This position provides periodic updates to Boeing management in the form of progress reports, project summaries, and other related documents. This position will also be responsible for coordinating and communicating regularly with experts in Boeing organizations around the world.

+ This position will support initiatives of Boeing India organization related to engineering excellence, employee development, mentoring, customer engagement etc


**Skills & Requirement:**


+ The candidate should have familiarity with both on premise and cloud based (AWS and/or Azure) Windows server instances to service the needs of the business and current infrastructure within the enterprise, plus escalate issues or concerns that impact our enterprise architecture services.

+ Must have 5+ years of IT industry experience out of which 5+ year experience must be in deploying Windows Servers in a virtual environment

+ Experience managing Active Directory

+ Must have hands on knowledge of DevOps and Agile

+ Experience with Microsoft Federated Identity Management

+ Experience with continuous integration deployments

+ Experience using Windows PowerShell for scripting

+ Experience with VMware 5.x and or virtual server deployments

+ Experience with Amazon AWS services and/or Microsoft Azure

+ Knowledge in various Scripting tools like Python, Perl or Ruby

+ Knowledge in various DevOps tools Gitlab, Jenkins, Containers etc.

+ Knowledge in various Automation tools Cheff, and Pupet

+ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high pressure environment.

+ Any relevant Industry Certifications is a plus

**Typical Education / Experience:**


+ Bachelors degree in Science, Technology, Mathematics, Information Technology, or Engineering is required.


**Basic Qualifications for Consideration**


+ Do you have a degree in Science, Technology, Mathematics, Information Technology, or Engineering

+ Do you have 5+ years of IT industry experience

+ Minimum of 5+ years of Hands on experience with Cloud Infrastructure support at various levels - IaaS- OpenStack, Azure, AWS PaaS- PCF, Azure, AWS
