KPMG is currently seeking a Associate, Engagement Management (Tax) to join our Finance and Accounting organization.


Responsibilities:


+ Facilitate engagement management support to assigned engagement partners and managing directors which includes client and engagement setup, ERP changes, time and expense adjustments, indicative changes, investment monitoring, facilitating the billing and collections process, ad-hoc reporting and closeouts for the assigned engagement team; may support practice leaders

+ Analyze proactively engagement data to identify incorrect coding, excessive time and expense, purchased and sold time, share and share alike of revenue; identify and escalate areas of potential exposure; initiate corrective actions as needed

+ Drive engagement team and potentially business unit, compliance in functional initiatives; serve as a subject matter resource in the firm's engagement accounting and risk management systems, including SYNC, Launchpad and ELM

+ Achieve efficiency targets established by leadership through coordination and teaming with shared service teams for transactional processing

+ Provide support to practice/service line leadership; collaborate with the practice/service line leader Chief of Staff and Financial Analyst in order to help the leaders achieve the operational and financial goals; may assist the Manager, EMC in overseeing the work of EMCs, may include mentoring and training

+ Participate in and facilitate ongoing system enhancements and training; may contribute to implementation of new initiatives, special projects and strategies


Qualifications:


+ Minimum two years of recent experience working in project accounting, finance or billing preferably within a professional services environment

+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in accounting, finance or business or equivalent experience

+ Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; knowledge of financial and accounting applications is required

+ Strong time management, planning, analytical and project skills; detail oriented with the ability to work on multiple concurrent assignments; must be proactive in day-to-day interactions as well as in formulating solutions to problems

+ Solid verbal/written communication, problem-solving, organizational and judgment skills to support an environment driven by customer service and teamwork; ability to build productive relationships with peers and leaders

+ U.S. Citizenship required
