The Boeing Company is currently seeking multiple **Associate Software Engineers** to join the Mission Design Center located in **Mesa, AZ** where we work on multiple Boeing programs, including Apache Helicopters, Fixed Wing Fighters, Space and Launch Systems, Autonomous Maritime, Enterprise DevSecOps, Aircraft simulators, and many more. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.


**Position Responsibilities:**


+ Full life-cycle Software development, requirement definition, design, modeling/simulation, testing, and/or analysis.

+ Languages include but are not limited to: C, C++, C#, Python, Java, Ada, and/or Linux.

+ Modeling and implementation of DoD software standards with a focus on developing software as products.

+ Working with internal and external customers and integrated product teams to define software functional requirements.

+ Implementing and testing software using the latest software development tools and methodologies to build the best products in industry.

+ Develop tools and software to leverage the benefits of cloud computing as Boeing transitions to a software centric organization.

**Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:**


This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. Ability to obtain Secret US Security clearance (Post-Start).


**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):**


+ Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or other technical degree.

+ Experience with full life-cycle Software development, modeling, simulation, testing, and/or analysis using C, C++, C#, Python, Java, Ada, or Linux.


**Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):**


+ 2+ years of hands on software development with C, C++, C#, Python, Java, Ada, or Linux.

+ 1+ year working in Agile software development framework.

+ 1+ year of experience with real-time embedded software development.

+ Experience with VectorCAST or other code coverage tools.

+ Familiar with Open Systems Interface (OSI) standards.

+ Familiar with DoD software standards (DO-178C, MOSA/FACE, ARINC).

+ Experience working with and/or developing software requirements/test methodology.

+ Experience developing and testing software on cloud infrastructure.

+ A willingness to be yourself and bring a diverse perspective into the workplace.


**Typical Education/Experience:**


+ Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master)

+ In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
