**Job Description**



As an Automation Engineer for GE Healthcare Enterprise Cloud Operations team, you will be working on multiple initiatives as a hands-on software leader. In this role you will focus on driving automated solutions for Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Domain Naming Services (DNS) and other security technologies. You may also design, develop, and maintain custom enablement services to support application deployment and operations. You will also work on projects to identify process failures in business-critical operations, recommend solutions, and implement automated controls to reduce future risk in our cloud environments.



**Essential Responsibilities**



+ Define and assess objective baseline standards for GE Healthcare Enterprise Cloud automation.

+ Extending and maintaining automation frameworks in areas of infrastructure as code and CI/CD.

+ Using tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, Confluence, GitHub, and Cloud Formation to improve and speed the delivery of our products and services.

+ Write and update technical documentation such as manuals, system design/architecture documentation and training materials.

+ Analyze application portfolios, identify dependencies on PKI and DNS and other common platform components for automation.

+ Implement, promote & maintain automation to assist application teams with architecture optimization.

+ Identify and support software refactoring opportunities to improve resiliency, scalability & efficiency.

+ Provide guidance to application owners & software engineers during all phases of their projects.

+ Support a DevOps team (24x7 accessibility for emergency issues on a rotating basis)



**Minimum Qualifications**



+ Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or in STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)

+ 5 + years of technical experience along with established leadership credentials across disciplines and functions within a product

+ 5 + years Application Development or cloud experience

+ 3 + years of experience with multiple programming languages: Python, Bash

+ 2 + years of experience with Ansible

+ Experience with AWS/Azure functionality and services.

+ Experience working in an Agile/Scrum/Extreme Programming environment.
