Job Description: This role will support the USPB CEO and Leadership team, reporting to the AWM CFO. The Head of Business Management plays a major role in organizing and leading the USPB Operating Committee to achieve large-scale growth initiatives. The Head of Business Management leads a team of ~30 Business Managers across the US who cover investments, advice, and business development practices. This role will work cross-functionally with front office advisors, finance and business management, product specialists, legal, risk management, compliance, operations, technology, and marketing to grow the USPB. We are seeking top performers for this role who can engage quickly and deliver meaningful impact.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drive key USPB business priorities aligned to growth

  • Advise management, employees, and clients

  • Make decisions on behalf of the business with an eye towards business-sustainability, compliance and regulatory requirements, and client & advisor experience and outcomes

  • Plan and lead USPB governance and Operating Committee Meetings

  • Plan, execute and follow up on internal events (i.e. Town Halls, Advisor Recognition programs (i.e. Morgan Circle), Senior Leaders)

  • Navigate and facilitate internal communication strategy (i.e. newsletters, advisor notes, earnings notes, organizational announcements, etc.)

  • Partner with senior management, including USPB Region Heads and Regional Heads of Investments and Advice, Practice Leaders, and Functional Partners to execute on key priorities

  • Analyze business initiatives with an eye towards client, firm, advisor, and business impact

  • Understand, define, prioritize, and execute client and advisor needs in the context of short and long term objectives

  • Partner with key stakeholders to influence change where needed; ensuring stakeholders and partners are satisfied and goals are met

  • Develop and implement creative solutions for operational effectiveness

  • Synthesize content, create presentations with minor guidance, present recommendations to senior management

  • Lead change management where needed with front office advisors across a wide range of initiatives including campaigns, policy and process changes, technology rollouts, products, regulatory and other business changes

  • Manage team of 30 Business Managers and be involved as-needed on projects and priorities for the team


Qualifications

The Head of USPB Business Management must possess strengths in business and project management, issue identification and resolution, excel at building relationships, and be a strong and effective communicator. The position requires flexibility and the ability to quickly adapt within a dynamic environment.


  • BA/BS required

  • 10 years of consulting, project management or business management experience ideally with exposure to field / large project rollouts and accountability for complex components / tasks

  • Strong relationship management and executive-level communication skills

  • Highly organized, able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Excellent written communications skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across all levels of the organization

  • Self-motivated and effective under pressure

  • Highly collaborative

  • Working knowledge of the Private Bank business, processes and systems preferred

  • Previous experience with change management programs highly desirable

  • Superior judgment and discretion working with both confidential and sensitive information

  • Experience with Advisor Tools and processes preferred (i.e. Connect, Account Opening)
