State Street's Anti Money Laundering ( AML ) technology team is Transforming application platform to the next generation public cloud, Analytics and Machine Learning Ecosystem to solve challenging financial crime compliance use-cases. As part of this journey, we are looking for strong hands on Engineer who can Migrate On Prem Hadoop application to AWS cloud and lead application development.
What you will be responsible for
You will be responsible for application development and Migration from On-Prem to public cloud using Java, Scala and other programming languages.
Assume end to end delivery ownership from development to Production roll-out.
Collaborate with business, onsite and offshore teams following agile methodology.
Follow enterprise standards of security, SDLC and governance.

Strong Hands-on large scale, multi-tenant development experience.
Effective communication skills to interact with various stakeholders and senior management.
Ability to learn and adept to new tools and technologies quickly.
Education & Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in computer science or engineering.
Minimum 7+ years for hands on technical experience with application development.
Min 2 + years of AWS and public cloud application migration experience.
Strong in programming skills using Java, Scala, Python etc.
Experience with advanced data science technologies like Hadoop, Spark, SQL and NoSQL.
Knowledge of ETL Tools, DEVOPS, Github, ElasticSearch, is big plus.
Strong at cloud services, API driven development, driving POCs.
Knowledge of Finance, custody services, data privacy, AML and related compliance domain is plus.
Additional requirements
This role may require occasional L4 production support and weekend release support.
