Job Description:

GDIT's DOJ/OJP team is looking for a dynamic and experienced Azure DevOps Engineer to build and maintain the CI/CD pipeline for our client's Configuration Management Center of Excellence and ensure the usage of Azure DevOps aligns to best practices to maximize the value of the tool to the organization. As an Azure DevOps Engineer you will be responsible for working closely with Federal leadership to define, implement and maintain a DevOps pipelines and usage patterns in a way that ensures reliable and efficient deployments of infrastructure and software while ensuring quality and change control standards are followed.

Job Requirements:

  • Develops and maintains DevOps tools and processes to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed software and externally purchased commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software products.

  • Performs technical maintenance of the configuration management tools and release engineering practices to ensure technical changes are documented, comply with standard configurations, and are sustainable.

  • Designs, develops, automates, and maintains tools using an automate-first mindset to improve quality and repeatability of software and infrastructure configuration development and deployment.

  • Will develop standards for enterprise-wide use to ensure work management usage aligns with best practices as well as reporting and tracking requirements for the organization..

  • Will train software developers and system administrators in the use of pipeline tools and the implementation of quality standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a complex, fast paced environment

  • Significant experience across diverse technology stack including COTS and custom software

  • Expertise in Agile development approaches including Scrum and Kanban

  • Passion for quality and solving problems in complex computing environments.

  • Detailed knowledge of Azure DevOps

  • Detailed knowledge of modern IT automation platforms (i.e. Ansible, Salt, Puppet, Chef)

  • Understanding of complete build pipeline and the ability to assist technical teams in consumption

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field

  • 12+ years of experience

  • 5+ years working with teams in an Agile development environment

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Pega environments and setting up CI/CD pipeline using Pega or similar development tools.

Contract Requirements

  • This contract requires US citizenship

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOJ/OJP Public Trust clearance
