**Boeing Global Services** **(BGS)** is seeking an experienced **Electrical Engineer** to provide on-site Field Engineering support to the United Arab Emirates Air Force in **Abu Dhabi, UAE** as an integral part of a multi-discipline team in conjunction with the C-17 Globemaster III Integrated Sustainment Program (GISP) contract.


**Successful candidates should expect to work flexible hours, a roster or shift including weekend work as appropriate to meet customer needs.**


**Position Responsibilities**


+ Apply knowledge of Boeing C-17 design and engineering principles to assess and resolve operational issues through the aircrafts lifecycle

+ Apply engineering principles and experience to research technical, operational, and quality issues that cannot be resolved by the customer

+ Develop and release interim and permanent engineering dispositions to ensure aircraft airworthiness and overall operational safety and effectiveness

+ Use innovative approaches and unique applications to solve complex nonconforming conditions

+ Identify, document, and analyze reported problems and communicate deviations that could impact design intent and safety

+ Provide design phase subject matter expertise by supporting Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and participating in design reviews

+ Coordinate activities for on-site disabled aircraft repair / recovery teams, safety or accident investigation boards, and aircraft maintenance recovery teams

+ Develop customer correspondence for continued safe operation and maintenance of equipment

+ Develop and implement technical training curriculum for internal and external customers

+ Develop and implement product / process improvements

+ This is a technical position at a United Arab Emirates Air Force base requiring independence and technical acumen

+ Travel to other operating locations to assist with operation, maintenance, and recovery of aircraft may be required with MIL-STD-1553B and ARINC 429 data bus architecture.

+ Repair and troubleshoot aircraft electrical, electronic, and avionics systems


**Basic Qualifications** ( **Required Skills** / **Experience** ):


+ 5+ years' experience with aircraft sustainment or service engineering

+ 5+ years' experience troubleshooting and repairing aircraft electrical and avionics systems

+ Able to occasionally travel domestically, work flexible hours, overtime and occasional weekends when necessary


**Preferred Qualifications** ( **Desired Skills** / **Experience** ):


+ 5+ years of customer-facing, or equivalent, experience

+ 5+ years of experience working in a multi-cultural environment

+ Experience with C-17 aircraft


**Typical Education** **& Experience:**


Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor/FAA A&P) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
