Job Summary/Responsibilities
Serves as junior CADD technician on bridge design team.
Works under the supervision of bridge team engineers and senior bridge CADD technician.
Must be proficient in Microstation, knowledge of Projectwise and Geopak is preferred.
Will be responsible for using Microstation to produce Bridge Layouts and bridge details for superstructure and substructure plan sheets under the guidance of the Project Engineer.
Will be responsible for adhering to project CADD standards for setting up base files, detail sheets and managing reference files.
Experience detailing bridge plans for TxDOT is preferred.
Familiarity with TxDOT standards and the TxDOT Bridge Detailing Guide is preferred.
Ability to calculate concrete and reinforcing steel bridge quantities is preferred.
Minimum Requirements
HS + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications
Preferably 4 years of related experience in highway/ bridge design
Must be proficient in Microstation, knowledge of Projectwise and Geopak is preferred.
Experience detailing bridge plans for TxDOT is preferred.
Familiarity with TxDOT standards and the TxDOT Bridge Detailing Guide is preferred.
Ability to calculate concrete and reinforcing steel bridge quantities is preferred
