As one of the largest facilities in the nations largest hospital system (HCA), Chippenham Hospital provides the full scope of healthcare services. With 466 beds, we specialize in heart care at the Levinson Heart Hospital and emotional and mental health services through the Tucker Pavilion. Our ER is also a state-authorized Level I trauma center with provisional burn designation where we offer Central Virginias only Pediatric ER staffed 24/7 by pediatric-trained ER nurse and physician specialists.

Patient population includes:
Complex wounds
Burns
Trauma to include car accidents, falls, head trauma, ETOH, gunshot wounds
Medical Surgical Patients to include sepsis, ketoacidosis, respiratory failure, GI, Fluid Overload, renal failure, osteomyelitis
As a Clinical Coordinator Registered Nurse in the Burn Wound Unit you will perform patient care as needed, motivate and champion staff to reach their professional goals, and work closely with the Unit Nursing Director to provide leadership, including:
Clinical management of the unit
Role model providing leadership for the unit
Staff personnel management including scheduling, orientation, training
Customer satisfaction (patient, visitors, physicians and staff)
Compliance with professional, regulatory, governmental and organizational standards
Quality management activities, and much more.

EDUCATION:
Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program (required)
BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited school of Nursing (preferred)
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or Current Multistate Compact License (required)
American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Health Care Provider (required)
ACLS certification (preferred)
EXPERIENCE:
At least 1 year of current nursing experience in an acute care setting (required)
2 or more years current nursing experience in an acute care setting (preferred)
Experience as a Charge Nurse, Clinical Lead or Clinical Coordinator, with demonstrated leadership ability and the skill to educate others (preferred)
HOURS:
Full Time
12hr shifts
Weekend & Holiday Rotations
