Power Management Engineer (Intern)
THE ROLE:
PMM (Power Management) engineer. In this role, you will touch cutting edge silicon, FW and hardware technologies, you will be part of a highly technical team that develops test plans, executes siliconbring-up, enables PMM features, executes test plans & debugs electrical/function issues on new processors. The job entails hands-on lab work as well as communication across teams.
THE PERSON:
Has a strong desire to drive PMM features to be enabled, validated and implemented. Has good communication skills and be able to work both independently and in a team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Study latest AMD silicon and system technologies, to fully understand the principleslgorithms for PMM features.
Assistant senior engineer to complete test execution and issue debugging
Support LAB owner to build, manage and maintain LAB device and instruments.
Collaborate with silicon design, BIOS, FW, architect and other teams on test plan development/execution and issue debug.
Optimize PMM test and issue debug process.
Develop script to improve test efficiency.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge on x86 computer
Experiences of leading projects or activities
Demonstrated experience in using oscilloscopes, reading schematics and layout documentation
Strong individual analysis, problem solving skills and teamwork attitude.
Fluent in both written and spoken English.
Experience of working with multi-site teams is preferred.
Knowledge on ACPI, Power & Performance test will be considered a big plus.
Skill of script (Python) development will be considered a big plus.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
Master or above, major in EE, CS or related area
