The Clinical Pathways Data Analyst (Remote) supports the Clinical Pathways Department with reporting, activities, and events. The Data Analyst is passionate about healthcare delivery in a patient care setting and is articulate, analytical, and a team player who understands the power of data storytelling to drive change. The data analyst is a self-motivated creative thinker who is excited about joining a collaborative team aiming to improve the experience of patients, families, and Nemours staff. Responsible for utilizing quality methodologies to design improvement processes in order to create meaningful use of current information systems to improve healthcare. Delivers actionable insights to drive real, measurable data to empower decision makers to improve patient outcomes, optimize processes, and reduce costs. Responsible for utilizing quality methodologies to design improvement processes in order to create meaningful use of current information systems to improve healthcare. Queries databases to deliver accurate and timely data analysis. Manages portfolios of performance metrics by updating values on a regular basis and responding to questions about the metrics to understand reasons for special cause. Acts as a liaison between clinical staff and data developers.

This is a remote/telecommuting position.

Primary duties include, but are not limited to: project assistance, presentation preparation, database maintenance, topic research, and first line data analysis and reporting from multiple data sources. These activities, both written and verbal, include providing support to the leadership and clinical teams working with the Clinical Pathways Department on the creation and sustainment of clinical pathways.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • Experience with data analysis (minimum 3 years) required

  • Expert with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint, QI Macros/QI Charts, as well as other applicable databases

  • Experience in standard business information tools and programming/query languages

  • Programming ability to develop, modify and support data extraction using report writing and data visualization tools (e.g. Crystal Reports, Crystal Enterprise, SAS, SQL+, Qlik, Tableau)

  • Knowledge of healthcare terminology and intermediate knowledge of data reporting and analysis such as HEDIS, quality of care studies, benchmarking, predictive modeling, and risk stratification, etc
