**Job Description:**



Summary:



The data analytics platform solution architect is responsible for developing and evolving a set of designs and architectures in support of distributed platforms, complex compute environments, and Cloud technologies in pursuit of creating best in class big data ecosystems. They must be able to work with end users, stakeholders, executives, system administrators, and vendors to help deploy those solutions from POC to Production. A strong candidate will have:



+ Experience in developing and designing solution architectures with a bare metal, PaaS, SaaS, and a focus in Cloud, Company managed, or hybrid topologies.

+ A broad set of technical skills and knowledge across hardware, software, distributed compute and platform ecosystems.

+ Proven experience in developing large enterprise class platforms for large analytics and/or Big Data Solutions.

+ Strong communication skills with the ability to easily explain complex architectures, driving solution understanding, acceptance, and followership.

+ Demonstrated leadership capability, able to lead a team of architects with strong technical acumen, able to collaborate across design teams, and drive the delivery of solutions, end to end.

+ Able to develop relationships with stakeholders, vendors, and executive line of business leads to build and maintain a cohesive shared customer centric, set of solutions.



Minimum Qualifications



+ BS in Computer Science or related field.

+ 5 years as a senior leader managing large teams with concurrent deliverables and shifting priorities.

+ 8+ years of technical solutions experience including 5+ years in relevant Big Data areas including Hadoop, Teradata, DB2, Netezza, or other Warehouse technologies.

+ Enterprise Business Intelligence and Analytics.

+ Cloudera or other large scale Hadoop platform experience (HDI, Hortonworks, Databricks).

+ Strong understanding of networking **:** TCP/IP, IP addresses, HTTP, DNS.

+ Background in Linux Operating Systems

+ Experience in multiple programming disciplines including Java, Python, and Scripting Languages.

+ Understanding of Cloud architectures including IaaS, PaaS, Saas, compute, storage, network, and security solutions that run on large Cloud service providers (Azure, Google, AWS).



Preferred Qualifications



+ MBA or MS In Math or Computer Science related field.

+ Spark background with focus in Scala, RDD, & DataFrame APIs.

+ Cloud platform experience in Synapse, DataBricks, or Snowflake.

+ Certified in Azure Fundamentals or AWS, GCP equivalent.

+ Strong understanding of the map reduce framework and dependencies.

+ Experience In Large Analytic Tools including SAS, Search, Machine Learning, Log Aggregation.

+ Experience with other Database Technologies including Mysql, MSSql, Sybase, Cosmos, MongoDb, or Cassandra.
